London fashion house caught borrowing the style of Dagestan grandmothers

The new clothing collection of the British brand Burberry has amazed connoisseurs of not only exquisite fashion, but also practical items that are convenient to trade in, for example, at the market in Dagestan. The Izvestia correspondent went there to find out where high fashion draws inspiration from.

When Russian fashionistas saw the new collection of one of the leading fashion houses, they immediately recognized the familiar Caucasian style. European designers will not be sued for plagiarism, but connoisseurs have already noticed several mistakes when trying to borrow style elements.

Russian Internet users in the comments under the fashion brand’s post on Instagram criticized fashion designers and compared the new collection with the clothes of Dagestan grandmothers. Moreover, the residents of the Caucasian republics themselves comment on the image.

“Does it look like our grandmothers? Very, yes, many women in Dagestan walk like this, mostly rural ones, ”Zemfira Magomedova commented on the outfits of the foreign brand.

The Caucasian market style was to the taste of the Europeans. All the women in the bazaar are like from the cover of fashion magazines. Some users admire the new stylish looks, others laugh. Moreover, all items of clothing in total cost almost half a million rubles.

A well-known blogger in the Caucasus, Maryam Goryanka, claims that some of the images in the collection presented by the fashion house are spoiled by the fact that the headdress is tied unprofessionally.

“What advice would you give London stylists? Firstly, do not spoil the proportions of the face, do not cut off the forehead and do not make such a high disproportionate muzzle to the head. The option that I saw in the photo was relevant in our country in the 90s,” added stylist Maryam Amirbekova.

She knows more than 20 ways to beautifully tie a scarf and is ready to give a master class to stylists from the Old World. According to her, it is not enough just to wear a scarf, you need to be able to handle it.

In April 2021, the network criticized the outfit of the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron Brigitte, which she wore to a meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife. We are talking about a Louis Vuitton brand dress worth about 230 thousand rubles. The black dress of the First Lady of France featured the brand’s monogram pattern in orange and white.
