Trump also added that he himself always acted harshly towards the Russian Federation, while he liked the Russian president.

The talks will take place against the backdrop of numerous media reports about the allegedly impending Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The topics of the talks will be the situation in Ukraine and the increased activity of NATO. The parties will also discuss Afghanistan, consider topics on the international agenda. In addition, the conversation will touch upon the issue of bilateral relations, as well as the implementation of the agreements reached during the previous meeting in Geneva.

On December 6, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that during the upcoming talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, American leader Joe Biden intends to raise the issue of stabilizing relations between the two states.

At the same time, Psaki emphasized that the current administration of the States does not seek to intensify the escalation in relations with Russia, but, on the contrary, to stabilize them as soon as possible.

On the same day, it was reported that on the eve of a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, American leader Joe Biden would hold telephone talks with allies in Europe in order to coordinate further actions.
