Alec Baldwin gave his phone to the authorities for verification

American actor Alec Baldwin gave his phone to authorities as part of an investigation into the death of cameraman Galina Hutchins in an accident on the set of Rust. This was told by the lawyer of the actor Aaron Dyer on Friday, January 14.

“Alec volunteered his phone to the authorities this morning so they can complete their investigation. But it’s not his phone, it has no answers. Alec is not to blame for anything, ”NBC News reported Dyer’s words.

The lawyer emphasized that the main question that needs to be answered is how live ammunition ended up on the set.

On October 21, Baldwin held an antique revolver during a Western dress rehearsal at the Bonanza Creek Ranch near Santa Fe, New Mexico. When he fired, the film’s cinematographer, Galina Hutchins, was mortally wounded, and director Joel Souza was wounded and hospitalized.

On December 2, Baldwin, in the first interview after the death of the cameraman on the set, stated that he did not consider himself guilty because he did not pull the trigger of the revolver, the shot was spontaneous. According to him, Hutchins showed how to point the weapon, the episode itself was rehearsed many times, but it never required pulling the trigger.

On December 17, a court in Santa Fe County in the US state of New Mexico issued a police warrant to investigate information from the actor’s phone. Law enforcement officers hope to find evidence in the actor’s phone that will help the investigation.
