Monument to Boris Grachevsky unveiled at Troyekurovsky cemetery

The monument to Boris Grachevsky was opened at the Troyekurovsky cemetery on Friday, January 14, on the anniversary of the death of the creator of Yeralash.

The initiator and organizer of the creation of the monument was the director of the Lenkom Theater Mark Varshaver.

The monument was opened to the applause of friends and relatives by People’s Artist of Russia, Moscow City Duma deputy Yevgeny Gerasimov and General Director of the Association “Capital Workshop of Cultural Workers” Lev Lantsman, according to the website kp.ru.

The monument depicts the director’s autograph and his statement: “To walk on the sunny side of life …”. There is also an image of a movie camera and an engraving of the name of the newsreel.

The director’s widow, Ekaterina Belotserkovskaya, said that she herself worked on the idea of ​​the monument, and Dmitry Fedotov, the owner of Grad Ex LLC, provided assistance in finalizing the sketches and installing it.

“I was helped by a wonderful person, to whom I am extremely grateful … he acted as a philanthropist, embodied the idea … took on all the expenses,” the widow of NSN quotes.

Grachevsky died in the capital on January 14, 2021. He passed away at the age of 71.

Since December 28, the artistic director of Yeralash has been in the hospital, where he was hospitalized with COVID-19. Grachevsky spoke about the discovery of coronavirus in him a week before hospitalization.
