The Ministry of Energy reported problems with electricity in eight regions of the Russian Federation

Almost 180 thousand people were left without electricity due to bad weather in the south of the Russian Federation, in the Voronezh region, Dagestan and Stavropol. This was announced on Saturday, January 15, by the Ministry of Energy of Russia.

“Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea — 60,000 people — were left without electricity; Republic of Dagestan – almost 55 thousand people; Rostov region – 24 thousand people; Volgograd region – more than 23 thousand people; Stavropol Territory – almost 13 thousand people; Voronezh region – 2 thousand people; The Republic of Kalmykia – almost 2 thousand people, ”the message says.

Power engineers are carrying out restoration work, the ministry added.

On January 13, two large districts of Petrozavodsk were left without electricity due to unfavorable weather conditions. Then a cyclone hit Karelia. It brought a strong wind, up to 21 m/s, as well as heavy snow.
